After learning of their professional relationship, Quinton the aggressor with millions to spare, filed suit against both Kaplan and Thietje in an attempt to strong-arm them out of the industry with lawsuits and a violent social media campaign.
(Read some of Quinton's vicious posts below.)
As you have seen in the evidence on this page, as presented to a Federal Judge, Quinton has a repeated pattern of this behavior: stealing ideas from prominent instructors, packaging it as his own, then threatening legal action...
"With the Chuck Quinton's record has, thank goodness Kaplan stood up to him... What he did first to Jim Hardy was bad, then what he did to Alison Thietje [twice] was awful. If it wasn't for Kaplan, Thietje would have never re-emerged in the market, and who knows Chuck would have gone after next!"
Alison Thietje is the founder of the anatomical absolutes in the golf swing and has over 26 years of experience as a body movement expert for both Tour Pros (1996-2004) and amateur golfers (1996- 2021). In 1996, Alison founded the first personal training company on the PGA Tour, Total Approach Golf LLC (TAG). The TAG client list included Tom Watson, Justin Leonard, Brad Faxon, Stewart Cink, Phil Mickelson, Bernhard Langer and more. Alison was also Golf Digest’s first fitness advisor (1999).
Eric Kaplan is an instructor on The PGA Tour who has specialized in putting and short game. Kaplan has worked with Bernhard Langer and Miguel Angel Jimenez (since 2014), and has even been seen working with Rory McIlroy and Patrick Reed (2016/2017). Kaplan has been a full-swing disciple of Thietje's Body Mechanics for years, and has been mentored directly by her. Kaplan's speciality in putting and short-game began in spending time working with doctors at the Mayo Clinic to develop a way to help golfer's afflicted with Parkinson's putt without tremors after his own father was diagnosed.
As demonstrated to the court, Chuck has had a long history of taking other instructors ideas, packaging them as his own, and then threatening legal action.
Quinton even filed an injunction and restraining order against Kaplan and Thietje by having this website taken down - a failed attempt to silence them.
